Description

Banksia Serrata is named after sir joseph banks and serrata, latten for saw like, you can see how the leaves have a shape like a serrated knife.
They are commonly called old man banksia and grow native along much of the east coast of Australia.
They are very tough as they grow in sandy soil and are often pelted by a salty sea breeze.
And yes they are flowers that grow on tree's.
